How Do I Request Records?

You have a right to ask for records/documents from OAH.  The Public Records Act governs how this happens. We have a responsibility to provide those records to you in a timely manner.

How long will it take to answer my request?

Within 5 business days of your request, OAH will respond to you.  We will provide you with the records or give you an estimate of when you will receive them.

What is the cost?

Per RCW 42.56.120, Washington agencies may charge fees to recover the costs of making and providing copies of records when fulfilling requests.  There is no charge for inspecting public records (instead of receiving copies).

Effective January 20, 2018, OAH will charge the following costs and fees for public records requests.  Note that more than one type of charge may apply to each request.  A deposit of 10% of the estimated cost to fulfill a request may be required before beginning to copy records.

OAH accepts checks or money orders made payable to “OAH”.  See below for mailing address and contact information.
